Chemo 1: Day 2

Just a brief update to fill you all in. So far the reaction to the chemo is pretty close to as good as we could hope for.

Ali says it feels a bit like morning sickness (or like a hangover for the blokes and those who haven't had the pleasure of morning sickness). She is getting tired fairly quickly and by the time night comes, very much looks forwards to getting into bed for a big snooze.

Last night was one of the best night's sleep she's had for a while so that was good.

That's it for now, thanks.

Yeaahhhh!! Great news re the chemo reaction.

Not sure whether this is useful or helpful to anyone but I read an article by Stephen Jay Gould re the dangers in interpreting statistics re cancer (he was diagnosed with abdominal mesothelioma when younger and went on to live a long life)and I found it really positive but not in a schmaltzy way. The article is called "The Median isn't the Message" and is accessible on the net (various sites).

Just helps to put any stats you might read or hear re cancer into perspective and I think we all probably need that.
